Luk Yuen Noodle House in ATC

Ever since my then-boyfriend-now-husband had tasted Luk Yuen’s Beef Brisket Noodle Soup last 2004 in Glorietta (before the gas tank explosion), we’ve been dining to Luk Yuen ever since. Since we are residing in the south, we’re quite blessed because LY has a branch in Alabang Town Center right beside Makati Supermarket (It’s still a mystery to me as to why they call it Makati Supermarket when it’s located in Alabang).

I think this resto’s strengths are its noodles (well, it is a noodle house), dimsums, and their rice bowls, while their weakness is their ala carte menu.  When I tasted their ala carte viands such as lemon chicken, beef in broccoli, and sweet & sour pork, it was quite disappointing because there is no difference with the taste compared to other Chinese restaurants around.

When I got to taste their Beef Brisket NS, I knew right away why my husband fell in love with it. It’s because of its rich beefy flavor. You can actually smell the aroma of the beef when it’s freshly served in front of you.  Its beef brisket meat is quite tender and flavorful, and its soup is really tasty unlike in other Chinese restaurants where their noodle soups taste bland. LY also offers Beef Brisket Rice if you want to eat it with rice instead of noodles.

Take note that their pork siomai has shrimps in them (yum yum!)

Kung Dao Pork Noodle (Php 140)
I just tried this dish today and I find it quite delicious. It, kind of, tasted like spaghetti with  sweet and sour pork in it. It’s really good. One order can be shared by 2 people, but if you’re hungry, then it’s good for 1 person only.

It has bubbles in it because it’s served fresh from the blender.

Their Dessert Menu
I haven’t tried any of their desserts yet except for their one scoop of ice cream 🙂

They also offer party platters perfect for pot luck parties.

I also mentioned that their rice bowls are good. My personal favorites are: Soya Chicken Rice, Tausi Spareribs, Pork Chop with Vegetable Curry and Fried Rice with Chicken & Salted Fish.
